JODI FISCHER
New member of the Alaska World Affairs Council

“I’ve lived and worked in many countries including, but not limited to Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Bolivia, Greece, Japan, sheikhupura jodiVietnam, El Salvador, Indonesia and Pakistan. When I moved to Alaska a year ago, I was concerned I’d feel isolated and disconnected. I was thrilled to learn that there is work actively being done, and a community of people organizing that care about world affairs here at Alaska World Affairs Council. I look forward to sharing my experience and resource to support this global community to foster critical thinking, discussion, and learning so that we may all grow into more informed and compassionate global citizens.”

Why Jodi supports AKWorld – “I support the Alaska World Affairs Council because they are helping to educate and bring awareness of global issues to our state.”

Why Jodi thinks others should support AKWorld –  “In an increasingly globalized world and economy, it is in all of our best interest to be informed and engaged on current and historical issues that have the power to impact us all.”
