Trip Amenities

Day 1:
Arrive in Ketchikan where you will take a short ferry and bus to the Cape Fox Lodge. After a short orientation by AKWorld, dinner will be served, and the topic of 25th Anniversary of the opening of the border between Russia and Alaska will be addressed.

The trip is all-inclusive. Upon arrival in Ketchikan, an AKWorld representative will be present to greet you at the airport.


All meals, including wine, are included in the price. This starts with dinner on Day 1 and continues through breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Days 2, 3, and 4 as well as breakfast and lunch on Day 5.


Waterproof boots, bib overalls, and jackets are provided for your comfort. Your fishing guide will also provide fishing equipment based on the species of fish you will catch that day.


Upon filling out and submitting the Fishing License Form, Waterfall Resort will complete and submit the forms so you can sign your fishing license and/or King Salmon stamp upon arrival and start immediately.

 Day 2:
After breakfast, you will have the morning to explore Ketchikan before taking a floatplane to Waterfall Resort. After check-in, you will be able to get in some fishing before our first guest speaker dives into the exploration of Russia and Alaska's history, including the unique challenges of operating in the Arctic.
 Day 3:
Fishing all day with the second guest speaker at dinner in the evening.
 Day 4:
Fishing all day with the third guest speaker at dinner in the evening.
 Day 5:
After some quick fishing in the morning, you will check-out of the resort then take a floatplane to Ketchikan. From Ketchikan, you can return home or continue to explore Alaska.
