Liz Carter
Liz
Carter is a retired
economics and social studies
teacher of many years in the
Anchorage School District
and UAA. She received her
bachelors from Westminster,
Salt Lake City and her
masters from the University
of Deleware. She was active
in the creation of the Model
United Nations for Alaska,
has been on several
nonprofit boards, volunteers
for several organizations in
the city and has been active
in local politics. She was
honored as a Presidential
Scholar Teacher, owned the
Alaska Book Company at one
time and still is an avid
reader. Her ardent interest
in international relations
started at the dining table
in her childhood home and
continues until this day.
She has been active in the
World Affairs Council for
many years. |
